可靠的火博体育 provides reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities to ensure that they enjoy an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from 学院提供的课程.

We understand that this process is often a bit confusing as it varies from what most students/parents have become accustomed to in the high school environment.  请 note that EGSC believes in giving every student an opportunity to receive temporary accommodations if the student provides minimal documentation of a disabling condition.

  • Documentation that is not current, but otherwise meets college guidelines, may be eligible for one 学期 of provisional accommodations while the student seeks re-evaluation.
  • An IEP and/or 504 Plan are sufficient for temporary or provisional accommodations only, however, more documentation may be required for accommodations to be permanent.
  • Students that do not have documentation, will not be eligible for services until they 是否能够确保适当的文件.

Additionally, students granted temporary accommodations who 完成 required updated testing and are not given a diagnosis that meets BOR 标准 will no longer 有权享受住宿.  如果学生已经获得住宿 at the time of this decision, the accommodations will continue until the end of that 学期.  If the student is determined ineligible for 永久的住宿, they will not be entitled to any accommodations beginning their next 学期 of enrollment.

Process for EGSC-斯泰茨伯勒 Students to Utilize Approved ADA Test Proctoring Services 透过GS学生无障碍资源中心
    1. A student with approved accommodations must schedule a date and time to test by completing 可靠的火博体育 考试申请表 for the Georgia Southern Student Accessibility Resource Center (SARC) (located under 网页底部的“环保及环保服务小组”栏目)

    3. The SARC team will return the completed exam to the professor per the instructions 包括在 监考通知.

重要的信息

The college is not responsible for making accommodations for students who have not disclosed their 残疾 and have not provided appropriate documentation.  住宿 cannot be provided if they fundamentally alter the nature of the course or would cause 给学院带来了不必要的困难.
